Vasectomy Pricing
Before July 1st 2026 the total cost is $750, which includes both an initial consultation with the doctor and
the vasectomy procedure. Patients with Medicare can expect a rebate of $312.90, making the out-of-pocket cost $437.10.
For convenience, we offer a same-day service for the initial consultation and the vasectomy procedure. However, it is possible to schedule these for separate days and this is advisable for people who are still undecided or have questions that they would like to discuss before booking the procedure.
After July 1st 2026 when Medicare indexation is applied, the total cost will be $795, which includes both an initial consultation with the doctor and the vasectomy procedure. Patients with Medicare can expect a rebate of $321.05, making the out-of-pocket cost $473.95.
Follow up appointments
There is no additional out-of-pocket cost. Aftercare appointments are Direct Billed to Medicare. As at June 2026 SA Pathology in South Australia does not charge a fee for semen analysis but we have no control over future pricing changes.
